Snow wonder: trip trepidation

All the talk of impending snow has made me nervous about my first trip to France of the year. I’m due to spend a long weekend in Normandy next week.

This photo was taken in the area last March. The snow was the result of cold air from the north meeting warm, wet air from the Atlantic.

I hope any snow holds off. Firstly, I’ll be travelling by ferry, and secondly, I’ll be in a rear-wheel-drive sports car. Neither of those would be much fun in bad weather.

So if you see me, wave. Or better still, give me a lift.
